Well hello, it’s been a while. We’re relaunching the podcast on December 2nd, and I’m very excited.Â
There’s a lot that I could write about why I took a few months off and how I feel now, but in it’s simplest form I realised I had stuff going on. I was busy. I was stressed and I was overwhelmed, and I suddenly realised I was hypocritically ignoring the advice I’d been giving and hearing from others on the podcast. Slow down. Look after yourself. Remember why you’re doing what you’re doing.
This recalibration time has been amazing. I’ve recorded episodes whilst we’ve been off-air, but I’ve done that slowly and with intention. Producer Laura, who doesn’t get anywhere near enough credit, has been incredible, and has really helped me firstly to work out what this is and why we do it, but also build systems that mean we can make it run more smoothly behind the scenes, and up the quality of the conversations we’re releasing.Â
So, what are we actually doing?
Well, we’re launching with Jason Fox. Then we’re releasing an episode with Charlotte Young. Not a bad way to kick back off, eh? We’re also relaunching the dispatches (10-20 minute conversations) which will be free to air as well. We’re looking at doing more live and in-person events, kicking off with Hillary Gerardi at Kendal Mountain Festival in a few weeks. I’m sure lots of people who listen to this show will be at Kendal, so if you fancy coming along to see TAP recorded live then tickets are available here*.
*The price for the event is just to cover the costs of the event at Kendal, and we’re not taking a fee.Â
Thank you for bearing with me, and thank you really sincerely for the massive amount of supportive messages. Being reminded of why I do this has been critical.
See you online soon…
